I lost my temper in class yesterday for about 5 seconds. I said "goddamn it!" I've never said that word in 10 years of teaching.

Before I tell you why, later that day, a couple of homosexual students in that class, my Moorpark College Political Philosophy class, followed me to California State University, Northridge, later that same day and asked if I'd be in their Snapple-chat video story thing. They came to my class and my office hours and hung out with my CSU logic students.
And so I did star in their Snap-chat video, under a picture of Descartes who I said was a picture of my aunt Shirley when they asked. I acted out "being a professor" for them.
I was in 2 other Snapple-chat videos from students that day. They explained the whole story-thing to me as we sat in office hours.
The girl from "Precious" -- the film -- sort of -- asked me to be in one of her Snapple-chat videos after she got one of her Venn Diagrams right and the other wrong (she was happy with the one). This was only after 3 or 4 selfies she did trying to capture her cleavage which was holding the marker she used for the Venn Diagrams.
Earlier in the day, at my Political Philosophy class at Moorpark, I lost my temper and said goddamnit really loud like I said above. But I didn't say why here yet.
We had been discussing Mao's Kitchen in Venice Beach. I had noted the reaction from some on the Left to Chik-Fil-A. People lost their beep when it came to Kim Davis in KY, or when it came to Old Man Chicken’s Chik-Fil-A.
And yet when I threw Mao's Kitchen up on the screen, someone said "how do we know it's even the same Mao" and another said "Chinese food sounds good."

This was the same class that started the semester saying that it's not true that rape is wrong. Or, they weren't sure. It was a class full of Democrat students who said this, and it was not the first class that year who’d said such things in Democrat Lost Angeles.
I was going to be god-damned [excuse the language — that’s the language I used at the time] if they ended the semester that way. Not on my watch. Not on my Republican watch. [I never say that term, fyi, which is why the story is unique].
I jerked out of my seat and my eyes were ablaze with righteous wrath. And in elevated voice I said "Of Course It's the Same Mao God-Damnit !!!!!"
And then I took a deep breath.
Everyone was speechless.

I said in the same angry tone that the 45 million people that Mao killed had names. They were real people. They had childhoods. They had pets. They were just like you. And they're f——g dead (yes, I did say the cuss word). They are dead because of him, because of the Communists. I heard about the stories from people who lived through it with my own ears. I'm 19 years old -- your age. Except I don't smoke pot. And I was in a dank apartment with two Chinese men -- old men, Zhishifenzi — 知識份子 — intellectuals persecuted in the Cultural Revolution, which Democrats here ensure you know nothing about. (Why else would you not study it ?)
And I pointed to the screen of Mao's Kitchen website. And I collected myself. I pointed out the communist star, the communist word "proletariat", the quotation from Mao Zi Dong in Chinese. The Chinese Communist propaganda cartoon which I saw tons of as a student of the language.

I said there is only one Mao. There's only one Hitler. There's only one Stalin. There's only one Pol Pot.
It'd be like going to Washington DC and wondering if it was really the same Washington as George Washington. There's only one Washington. And here you guys are, adults, citizens, educated for almost 2 decades at taxpayer expense under exclusive control of Democrats, and you know nothing about this.
I pulled up an LA Times story about Chik-Fil-A being vandalized in Torrance -- a photo of the word "Bigot" sprayed hatefully across the restaurant. The headline says the Leftist vandal is known and won't be prosecuted. I pulled up election districts and showed them that Venice Beach -- which has no Chik -Fil-A, no Hobby Lobby -- is pure Leftist Democrat . They have a Mao's Kitchen, though. Honoring that man. And then I pulled up stories about how many Mao killed in the name of Leftism.

These homosexual students followed me to CSUN to apologize to me -- and they weren't the ones I was really yelling at. They came to tell me, they get it. They get it now. There's more to the story. They don't know. And they were grateful that I was their professor.
This is my life in Lost Angeles.
Btw: I'm not inflating grades.
