Huge Win in Hawai'i for the Constitution
The Republican Professor Podcast Was All Over This with Alan Beck March 2024
There are a couple of huge wins this week for the US Constitution, one in California and one in Hawai’i.
The one in Hawai’i involves TRP Podcast guest Alan Beck (March 2024).
As a result of Alan Beck’s litigation (which has taken a long time and cost a lot of money, including with clients like George Young, a Hawai’ian Island Indian tribal descendent, who had no money to pay his attorney and tried to represent himself before Beck stepped in)—as a result of all of that, the deeply Democrat Hawai’ian legislature changed these bad laws !
This reverses decades of perversion in Hawai’i when it comes to the Second Amendment.
The Democrat legislature is most likely trying to avoid future jurisprudential handcuffing at the hands of Republicans like Beck and Republican judges. So, they’re likely making a chess move, here, implying if they can change the law, they can change it back, whereas if they lose in court, they can’t change it back, and they can’t get any credit for righting a wrong.
Make no mistake, the Democrats here fought tooth and nail to hurt innocent people in Hawai’i for decades with these poorly crafted, discriminatory laws against self-defense. The Hawai’ian Democrats spent millions of precious Island tax money to violate Second Amendment rights of the American people in Hawai’i just like Democrats in Chicago did before (and after) McDonald v. Chicago, 561 US 742 (2010) and just like the Democrats did in District of Columbia for decades before (and after) District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 US 570, (2008).
Also, remember it takes a lot for a bunch of Democrats to get together and agree to tell the entire world they were wrong, and to vote on it, recorded publicly for anyone with any attention span to see in the future, including little Hawai’ian kids in public school.
So, I’m celebrating.
