I Can Tell They're Acting

Student: Who's ur favorite actor, professor?

I don't have one. They all suck.

Student: I like Leonardo Dicaprio. Don't you think he's a really good actor?

Oh? Why?

Student: Because you can't even tell he's acting, he's that good.

I can tell he's acting. I can tell they're all acting.

Student: How?

Because they never look at the camera. The camera's right there and they obviously pretend it's not there.

Student: --

I can see them. How else could I see them unless there was a camera there recording it?

Student: uh

I have good eyesight, but not that good. I can't see back in time and across the United States.

Student: but

Now if you can't figure out they're pretending the camera's not there within like 2 seconds of them not looking at it, I---

Student: but that's why it's called "acting."

That's what I'm trying to tell you. Same goes for cartoons. It's why I walked out of "Finding Nemo." I have better things to do.

Student: but it's a cartoon.
