Photo 1: Oxford English Dictionary the day Obergefell was decided. Oxford University Press, 2015.
Setting: Lecture on the Definition of Marriage at a California College in the Southland
Student: Professor, why do you care so much about this ? Why do you even care ?
Professor: Well, I never cared enough to redefine the month of June in addition to all the other words. Does that ... help ?
Student: !!
Professor: I never cared enough to go into my hot garage and invent a brand new flag that people had to fly over , like, government buildings next to the American flag and like on embassies in Muslim countries or Eastern European countries and stuff that firefighters have to salute .
Student: !!!!!!!
Professor: I never cared enough to like, get bored with that original flag, and need to like redefine that flag now, too, every like 2 years or something, constantly coming up with a new flag that has to be flown on taxfunded buildings.
Does that ... help ?
Student : !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Professor: Let me guess. I'm your very first Republican Professor.

In communist apologetics school, I’m convinced the first argument they learn is the “Why do you care so much?” argument. It must work on someone cause they all say it.
