Lucas J. Mather on The #WalkAway Campaign
FB censored it, but someone preserved it back in August 2018
Facebook took down the Facebook page for the half a million liked hashtag WalkAway Campaign. So, my 12 August 2018 post for them was taken down with it.
I happened to have taken some screenshots of the viral post, some of the comments, which in less than 24 hours were in the thousands and thousands. It was shared thousands of times (I think up to close to 60k shares, or more, but I stopped keeping track after a while), and I just could not keep up with all the comments. I also took screen shots of what I said, exactly, in case Facebook censored it, which they eventually did after the so-called “insurrection” on January 6th, 2021.
Yes, they took my post down because of the Capital breach on J6, 2021.
Oookay. Democrat privilege in action.
But, on 18 August 2018, someone preserved my post for posterity on their blog. I have no idea who the person is, but I’m happy to see it preserved when it was censored by Facebook.
I have photos of the original so I never lost it. But I did lose the hundreds, perhaps thousands of comments. It went viral and had a lot of interaction. I never got to read all of the comments. I think I had seen maybe 5% of them. It was so much I couldn’t keep up with it.
Enjoy !
I have more screenshots of comments , but here’s the original post screenshot.
