Command Master Chief (30 years, retired) Deployed 13 Times on His Time on the Teams

As a seasoned member of the SEAL teams that was part of the U.S. response to 9/11 and later, a plank member of the new SEAL Team 7 (among many other things), Larry A. Wilske saw more than his fair share of training and operations in 30 years of US Naval Service .

[“Plank owner” means, one of the original members, or assignees who’d had orders to the command when it was first set up. A “command” is another word for a Navy operation, either on land, in the air, by sea, or all of the above, with someone in charge and others following the mission by that officer’s direction, e.g. a squadron, a ship or boat, a training base or other dedicated unit on land, or special warfare unit like in the SEAL Teams].
